The beautiful mother of pearl used in this piece are high quality Vintage beads that have an exceptional glow to them. Their ivory color is enhanced by the metallic sheen of the gold plated beads throughout. The focal bead in this necklace is intricately carved resin that features the face of a mermaid, echoing the call of the sea.  

Mother of pearl is the iridescent layer of material that has developed inside mollusk shells. Because it is an aspect of pearl, this piece would make a lovely pearl birthstone gift for June. 

The design is finished at 18″ with a gold toned pewter "S" clasp.
